A message from Mike James, SentryWorld general manager
To our valued guests, business partners and the Stevens Point community—
As we continue to navigate the coronavirus pandemic, we have made the very difficult decision to extend the closure of all SentryWorld properties. This includes PJ’s, Muse, Banquets, Pro Shop, the Sentry Theater, and, of course, the golf course. I know you’re disappointed that we have yet to re-open. We are, too.
The health and safety of our guests, staff, and community is paramount—we’re simply looking to do the right thing.
SentryWorld, being a destination course, draws people from all over the country—including areas highly affected by coronavirus. In June, our community saw a spike in COVID-19 cases due to lapses in social distancing. We feel we have a responsibility to our customers, staff, and community to help prevent future flare-ups.
During this time, we continue to make enhancements to our championship golf course so that when we do come back together—and we will—the course will be better than ever.
Our hope is that we can open sometime after Labor Day—September 8 at the very earliest, pending any changes to official safety measures or unforeseen circumstances.
I look forward to seeing you then.
