An important message about our opening plans.

Added July 8, 2021

Construction of The Inn at SentryWorld is progressing very well. We’re also on target with renovations to the SentryWorld golf course in preparation for the 2023 U.S. Senior Open. This work will result in a one of a kind hospitality experience for our guests—I’m confident it’ll be a tremendous source of pride for our community.

We intended to open the golf course concurrent with the opening of the hotel in mid-August. Because the hotel is adjacent to the golf course, we want the intrusion of the construction of the hotel to be completely behind us prior to opening the golf course to the public. Unfortunately, COVID-related shipping delays of furniture and materials will not allow us to open the hotel until sometime this fall.

Consequently, we’ve made the decision to not open the golf course through the end of the year. We will, however, be honoring several larger golf outings that we’ve committed to this year. I’m not altogether surprised that COVID-related supply chain issues that have affected so many aspects of U.S. commerce have affected SentryWorld this year. Nevertheless, it’s a disappointment. While I regret having to deliver this bit of bad news, I’m exceedingly confident that you’ll love the end result. In the meantime, PJ’s, the Pro Shop, our banquet and event spaces, and the Fieldhouse remain open.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
