By now you’ve likely had a chance to view the recently unveiled SentryWorld course map and read about some of the major course updates. Now is your chance to learn more about the two new par threes crafted out of property previously unused—holes 3 and 12.

Here’s a sneak peek at the two new holes highlighting the revamped SentryWorld golf course.

SentryWorld New Hole 3

HOLE 3 | PAR 3
151 CHAMP - 147 BLUE - 133 WHITE - 114 GOLD - 97 GREEN

Previously a half-wooded pocket within the property, the third hole captures one of the truly unique views at SentryWorld and exemplifies what’s so special about the course. Playing downhill with SentryWorld’s big lake directly behind to serve as a backdrop, golfers will enjoy a new way to interact with the water – experiencing what on-site architect Jay Blasi described as an “infinity green.”

“The green is set right up against the water, allowing us to highlight the natural beauty of the lake,” said Blasi. “Traditionally, water features appeared on the left at SentryWorld, so the new third hole offers a much different feel than anything previous played here.”

“The third hole adds a completely new experience within familiar surroundings,” added Robert Trent Jones, Jr., SentryWorld’s original course architect who also oversaw the renovation. “What we were able to do is use the existing lake much better while simultaneously eliminating some of the tree overgrowth to ultimately add beauty, spaciousness and sunlight to SentryWorld.”

SentryWorld New Hole 12

HOLE 12 | PAR 3
161 CHAMP - 139 BLUE - 123 WHITE - 86 GOLD - 76 GREEN

Another dramatic transformation for the new SentryWorld golf course, the par-three, twelfth hole is located in the northeast corner of the SentryWorld property – an area that golfers never previously ventured to. The twelfth hole plays directly over a section of SentryWorld’s big lake to a green set on a peninsula. While the shot over the lake is exhilarating and challenging, numerous tees set on the water’s edge provide golfers of all abilities a great chance to hit the green.

“Adding this hole allowed us to update the course for both enhanced enjoyment and challenge,” said Jones, Jr. “The addition of this hole, along with all of the other changes made, will help SentryWorld redefine its place with the other courses in Wisconsin and attract golfers from throughout the state, nation and beyond.”

“We hope this hole adds a bit of drama and excitement for all golfers,” added Blasi. “Playing across the lake out to the peninsula is yet another new way for golfers to enjoy SentryWorld’s beautiful setting.”

Both new holes add variety and balance to the reimagined SentryWorld golf course and are sure to be exciting new experiences for first-time golfers and seasoned SentryWorld players alike.
