Providing golfers with top-notch practice facilities has always been an important aspect of the SentryWorld experience. Through SentryWorld’s redesign, the already solid base of SentryWorld’s practice facilities were updated, expanded and improved.
“As today’s golfer wants to spend more time practicing for skills enhancement, we feel it’s important to give them facilities worthy of their efforts,” noted Robert Trent Jones, Jr., SentryWorld’s original course architect who also oversaw the renovation. “We have been designing advanced practice ranges that allow players to practice a wide variety of shots—now golfers at SentryWorld will have access to their own state-of-the-art facilities.”
“Through the redesign, we’ve created very dynamic facilities that will accommodate all the different user groups that come to SentryWorld, from destination and local golfers, to high school and university golf teams, as well as Sentry associates and retirees,” added on-site architect Jay Blasi. “The facilities will be some of the best around—both in the state and the Midwest.”
Whether you’re warming up before going out to play 18 holes, looking to zero in on your perfect drive with five buckets of balls, wanting to work on your short game or coming in for a lesson, SentryWorld’s new and improved practice facilities will accommodate you with an abundance of dedicated space and leading-edge amenities.
SentryWorld’s outstanding practice facilities hinge on four key elements:
The existing practice tee area has been extended in length, reconfigured in angle and enhanced with a variety of targets within the range itself, including target greens, fairways and bunkers. This tee boasts both natural turf and mats and provides local golfers, golf teams and other users with a dedicated space for practice—whether for an hour or for an entire day.
Reconfiguring the original practice tee allowed for the addition of a warm-up tee and putting green. This new tee faces straight north to eliminate any unwanted sun angles and provides the ideal environment for warming up prior to beginning a round of golf.
Another exciting addition is SentryWorld’s short game practice area. Built with two dedicated green complexes, guests will be able to focus solely on putting or chipping and work on their short game with shots from a bunker, fairway or rough, as well as from a downhill or an uphill lie.
We invite you to come experience SentryWorld’s new-and-improved practice facilities and to renew your commitment to practicing golf.
